| Ce livre est la republication de l’essai paru aux Editions du CNRS en 1991. Le texte a été débarrassé de nombreuses coquilles, et trois articles portant sur le même thème - sur la manière dont l’herméneutique joue à l’intérieur des mathématiques - ont été ajoutés à la fin. Une introduction essaie de faire le point sur la période herméneutique de mon travail. Malheureusement, sur la page de couverture, le mot contenu a été substitué au mot juste (continu) dans le sous-titre du livre. L’herméneutique formelle est le premier de mes livres de philosophie des mathématiques, avant Le constructivisme non standard (1999, Presses Universitaires du Septentrion) et Philosophie des mathématiques (2008, Vrin). | Klincksieck brings out a revised edition of the essay which was first published by CNRS Editions in 1991, at CNRS Editions. The text has been hopefully freed from a fair number of typos or local imperfections. There have been added, at the end of the volume, three papers which also tackle the main topic of how hermeneutics plays inside mathematics. In a completely new foreword, I try to take stock of my hermeneutical period. Unfortunately, there is an unpleasant flaw on the front cover - the correct word continu is substituted with the word contenu in the subtitle of the book. L’herméneutique formelle is my first book in the field of philosophy of mathematics, followed by Le constructivisme non standard (1999, Presses Universitaires du Septentrion) and Philosophie des mathématiques (2008, Vrin). |
